I just rated Hula Grill great for gado gado at Docoloco.

I was so sick of resort food (fries, burgers and other stodge) when I saw gado gado on the menu at Hula Grill. I got mine with rare ahi tuna on top. An absolute sensation!

“Beast” India Pale Ale, Raspberry Ale, Brown Ale and pale Ale make weekends at Jamo just that little bit better. I never seem to have any left to take home though.

Brewing Your Own Beer at Barleycorn Brewery

I just rated Barleycorn Brewery great for brewing your own beer at Docoloco.

A micro brewery which provides everything you need to brew your own beer on site. They have a book full of recipes and all the ingredients you’ll need. I’ve now got 50L of something which they tell me will taste like my favourite Californian microbrew. Another few weeks and I’ll go bottle it up.

A great way to spend an afternoon with a few friends.

Baby Stuff at Parenthood

Picked up some of gifts for our friends (who are expecting twin boys – that makes it 4 for 4). This place reminds me a lot of Pottery Barn for Kids in the US.

Garden Supplies at The Greenery Garden Centre

My favourite garden centre in Melbourne. You can even get coffee and bbq out the front on weekends which is always a good thing. Great plants and great staff.

Renovations at Natural Direction

I just rated Natural Direction great for renovations at Docoloco..

These guys say they specialize in “environmentally responsible design and construction: building houses that are energy efficient, with techniques and materials that are environmentally sustainable”. They’ve just completed a *major* job for us and we can’t speak highly enough of them.

We’d heard so many horror stories about builders but James and Wendy really looked after us and went above and beyond on more than one occasion.
